My name is Chrissie Angell, and I am honored to serve as the FRSC President this year. I’m a native Kansan, so it’s wonderful to be at Ft. Riley and close to family! My husband, Brian, and I met class our sophomore year of high school. It wasn’t until he came home for R&R one summer, several years after college, that we finally started dating. We’ve been married for 15 years and have two energetic boys who keep us on our toes!
People are my passion. I realized that about myself after years of serving in women’s ministry and Army organizations—I always seem to serve in ways that allow me to be surrounded by people! My love for people definitely influences my focus for this year as your FRSC President. Connecting spouses and helping them build a foundational community, so they are healthy and happy, is extremely important to me.
When I’m not taking care of my family or serving with FRSC or my husband’s unit, you can probably find me on the porch chatting with a friend. Oh, in my spare time, I’m also a speaker and writer.
I’m looking forward to a fun year of serving our community together!
