The Fort Riley Thrift Shop is the only Thrift Shop on post whose mission is to provide an outlet for military families to donate and shop! At our non-profit, volunteer-run thrift shop, our mission is to provide support and assistance to soldiers and their families by offering affordable and quality goods. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where members of the military community can find essential items, while also promoting sustainability through the reuse of donated goods. Through our commitment to giving back, we aim to enhance the well-being and morale of soldiers and their loved ones, fostering a sense of community and support within the army base.

Thrift Shop Store Manager (Daytime or Evening)
Do you have that team leader mentality? Are you able to delegate tasks while creating a positive atmosphere? Responsibilities include keeping the store running smoothly, making sure volunteers are properly trained, complete all tasks related to opening and closing the store, and making sure all team members work together cohesively.

*There are 2 positions available to include a daytime and evening manager. This is to meet the needs of the community and streamline consistent open hours. You will be able to select which position you are interested in on the application below.
Thrift Shop Floor Manager
Let's take your creativity and make the store your own! Responsibilities include maintaining the layout of the store, pricing assistance and staging of items. Keeping current with sales, seasonal items, and rotation of donations. This is your opportunity to wow the community with your take on store displays.
Thrift Shop Donations Manager
Is organization your super power? If you have a knack for sorting and organizing, this position is for you. Responsibilities include being available to accept donations, sort for pricing and refilling of the store. Work hand in hand with floor manager to make sure items are put out and the store is kept looking nice. Manage all donations and rotate inventory based on holiday and season.
Co-treasurer
Money, money, money! Are numbers your thing? Responsibilities include being responsible for the thrift shop account and keeping the flow of funds in and out of the store operating smoothly. This position requires effectively communicating on all levels the financials of the store. You will get to see first hand how the money we make impacts the community.
Cashier
The face our customers see! Our customers are amazing and we are looking for someone who makes the check out process exceptional. Responsibilities include completing the check out process for our members and running the cash register while we are open. If you have a warm smile and love to interact with others, then this position is for you!
